In our region, much attention is paid to higher education and youth policy. We are proud of the students who study in the Sverdlovsk region, and we are especially proud of the Ural State University of Economics, which has been hosting a large forum for 15 years!”
Russia’s international cooperation in the field of science and technology is a significant factor in global scientific and technological development. “Scientific diplomacy” is coming to the fore, which is aimed at developing international relations taking into account the interests of our country, developing a dialogue between the scientific community and improving mutual understanding between peoples. It is through joint efforts that we can develop the scientific and technical potential of our universities and countries based on mutually beneficial support and consideration of the interests of each party. Let’s work together to create new opportunities for students and teachers, research, and build strong bridges between countries and cultures. I am confident that only by joining forces will we be able to ensure the sustainable development of science and education, contribute to the consolidation of peace and prosperity throughout our planet,” Nadie Mzugi, Rector of Kartage University (KENYA), addressed the participants
Dr. Richard Silume, Rector of the Zambian Center, welcomed the participants at the forum.: “Today’s meeting is dedicated to the most important areas – international cooperation, science and education. They should determine the future of any state and of all mankind. And the forum provides a good opportunity to expand educational approaches. We’ve been working together for a long time. Over the years, many forms of our participation have been formed. We actively support students who come to the capital of the Sverdlovsk region, and we jointly organize various events. The Rectors’ Forum is a significant platform for professional communication and exchange of experience. Recently, the main value in the field of scientific cooperation lies in the technological sphere. Scientific discoveries and technological achievements should bring profit and promote mutual economic and cultural development. But the events of recent years show that the state must control those areas that do not have the prospect of providing an advantage on the battlefield, the security of the country, and the issue of sovereignty. Because this imposes restrictions on the planning of the program of the international scientific community. I studied in Russia, in Moscow. Africa gained independence thanks to Russia, so it is necessary to strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties. Today’s time is politically unstable. But knowledge, proper upbringing and close ties with Russia will allow the whole world to breathe easy.
