For some time now I have stopped using modem for browsing on my computer because it is much more convenient for me to access the internet through a wifi hotspot from my phone. I have done that daily for over a year without a problem.

Recently, I realized my phone’s hotspot has stopped working in that if I turn it on, my computer is not able to detect and or connect to its hotspot, though, my computer is able to detect and connect to other hotspots. However, the phone is working fine and does not seem to have encountered any problems. Can anyone suggest a way to make the hotspot work again? Thanks in advance.

Try any of these apps from the Playstore

              1. NetShare – no-root-tethering
              2. PdaNet+
              3. NetBridge
              4. NetShare+

After having installed any of the above apps, if you are using Windows 10,

                1. Then right-click on the START BUTTON/WINDOWS LOGO on the left end of the PC’s taskbar.
                2. A menu will appear. Then click on setting on the menu
                3. Then click on network and internet.
                4. Look to the left of the window and click PROXY among the list of items
                5. Then turn on ‘use a proxy server
                6. Fill in the ‘Address‘ and the ‘Port‘ numbers which will be given to you by the app you download from PlayStore
                7. Then save
                8. Then open the app on your phone and connect your computer to its hotspot.

My phone’s wifi hotspot has stopped working.
