The fool speaks, the wise man listens.

One thing you can easily identify a fool with is that they talk too much – they talk to the extent that they do not know they are going too far with their tongue. It is hard for a fool to listen or listen attentively. They hardly listen in order to learn, so they always continue to be fools. And one other thing, talking too much is what leads a fool to his doom.

A wise man, on the other hand, loves to listen. He listens more and talks less. It is through listening that he adds to his wisdom all the time and becomes wiser.
