          It is true that if you have a stick on the floor and you hold one end of it and lift the stick up from the floor, automatically, the other end is also lifted from the floor. Picking one end is picking the other one also.

          This proverb tells us that every decision you make has a bundle of effects. If you choose one thing, automatically, you have chosen a thousand more things along with that one thing you chose. Examples:

          If you choose hard work, you chose high productivity, success, prosperity, respect, and honor along with it.

          If you chose laziness, you choose poverty, suffering, being disrespected, etc. along with it.

          If you choose abstinence from substance abuse, you choose good health, long life, sanity, respect, judicious use of money, etc. along with it.

          Never forget this; any decision you make in life, whether important or unimportant, big or small, comes with a bundle of effects that can be good or bad for you.
