          For a stream to serve as a source of water for the people, it has to flow downhill to the lower portions of the land where people can easily fetch it for various purposes. That is the natural order. Therefore, if a stream runs uphill, then something has gone wrong.

          The proverb suggests that when a woman is in leadership – be it in the home or elsewhere – things will not run well. In other words, there will be disorderliness.

          I’m sure many women would disagree with this.
