  In most communities in Africa, these are the domestic animals we see:

  - duck
  - chicken
  - turkey
  - goat
  - pigeon
  - donkey
  - camel
  - cow
  - horse
  - dove
  Camel, horses, and donkeys are domestic animals, especially in North Africa. For those of us who live in the forest zones or the green belts of the African continent, we do not quite see these animals as domestic animals. But they are popular household animals in the Savanna and the Sahel zones of the continent.

  I have been thinking of what you said that it would have been nice if there were tigers in Africa. Having tigers in addition to the other big cats would have enriched our ecology alright but it would have also increased the competition for prey. More herbivores would be needed to feed the carnivores.

  I learned that Mopane worms are widely consumed in Southern Africa. It is a staple in rural areas and a delicacy in the cities. They are collected from the bush or forest.
